Join Anthony Bourdain, chef, author and internationally renowned television host of the Travel Channel’s Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations and The Layover and good friend Eric Ripert, renowned chef of Le Bernardin, author, host of “Avec Eric” on PBS and regular guest on Bravo’s Top Chef as they share stories and muse on the place of food in our personal, community and global life.

It’s an evening of storytelling and observation providing frank and provocative insight into what really goes on behind the kitchen doors.

Anthony Bourdain, chef-at-large at New York’s famed Brasserie Les Halles, is the author of bestselling titles Kitchen Confidential and Medium Raw – both hilariously blunt and sometimes shocking portraits of life in restaurant kitchens. His latest project Get Jiro!, a culinary-themed graphic novel, was released on July 3 and has already reached the #1 spot on the New York Times bestseller list.

Published in conjunction with his former series on Food Network, his 2001 book A Cook’s Tour, was also a bestseller in the US and UK. Bourdain will also host a brand new series on CNN in early 2013, expanding the network’s coverage of travel, culture, and cuisine.

Ripert’s Le Bernardin continues to receive universal critical acclaim for its food and service and the Zagat Guide has recognized the restaurant as the “Best Food” in New York City for the last seven consecutive years. Ripert has also served as guest judge (and “fan favorite”) on Bravo’s Top Chef for the past four seasons. This past Fall, Ripert published his fourth book entitled, Avec Eric: A Culinary Journey with Eric Ripert in addition to his previous titles: On the Line and A Return to Cooking and the Le Bernardin Cookbook.

A limited number of VIP tickets will be available, which includes premier seating; access to an exclusive meet-and-greet session with Bourdain and Ripert following the show; complimentary hors d’oeuvres from Palms’ dining destinations N9NE Steakhouse, Heraea, the new American grille concept from The ONE Group and Simon Restaurant & Lounge at Palms Place; a VIP tour laminate and a limited edition poster.

Copies of Bourdain’s newest books, Medium Raw: A Bloody Valentine to the World of Food and the People Who Cook and Get Jiro! and Ripert’s Avec Eric: A Culinary Journey with Eric Ripert along with other titles from their back catalogs will be available for purchase on site from Barnes & Noble, the official bookseller for the event.

The Pearl Box Office is open daily from noon until 7 p.m. with extended hours on select event days.
