Glass Slipper Soiree at The Palazzo benefiting Assistance League Las Vegas on Thursday, Oct. 7. The charity event was in partnership with Luxury Las Vegas magazine.

Held at Azure Luxury Pool, guests enjoyed savory wines and hors d’oeuvres provided by The Palazzo’s own Lagasse’s Stadium, The Venetian’s Valentino and Zine while listening to the sounds of DJ Twisted.

More than 500 guests attended the Soiree and donated $5,450 and 600 pairs of shoes in support of Assistance League’s Operation School Bell program.

A variety of lavish prizes were raffled off to attendees from various retail boutiques within The Shoppes at The Palazzo and The Grand Canal Shoppes including Diane von Furstenberg, Jimmy Choo, Claudio Milano, Barneys New York, Cole Haan, Banana Republic, Chloe, Tory Burch and Gregory’s. Each retailer provided shoe fashions to showcase their fall footwear lines.

“This has been my life’s work,” said Charlotte Besuden, president of Assistance League Las Vegas. “We are so thrilled to partner with The Palazzo for the Glass Slipper Soiree. The turn out was amazing and the overwhelming amount of shoes is unbelievable and will help out so many local children.”

Through Operation School Bell, Assistance League’s flagship program, more than 7,000 at-risk students are provided with new school clothes, health packs and school supplies annually. Assistance League has been serving Southern Nevada’s children for over 30 years. The organization is completely volunteer with no paid staff members.
