Pete Rose, former MLB player and manager, was honored with a surprise 70th birthday dinner at N9NE Steakhouse inside Palms Casino Resort Thursday night. He was greeted by 26 of his close friends, including girlfriend Kiana Kim, and enjoyed an intimate meal in the private dining room.

Rose indulged in the tomato salad, followed by the salmon with sides of creamed corn and sauteed spinach. Friends and staff presented him with a birthday cake that featured baseball memorabilia and a photo collage. Following dinner, Rose and friends took photos in front of the Palms marquee, which read, “Happy 70th Pete Rose 4,256.”
