Echelon Place $4 Billion Resort Inside Echelon Resort Las Vegas

Echelon Las VegasEchelon Place Las Vegas a $4 billion mixed-use resort on the 63-acre Las Vegas land currently occupied by Stardust Hotel real estate. The mega resort will include 1 million square feet of Las Vegas convention and meeting space, 5,300 hotel rooms, 140,000-square-foot casino and 350,000 square feet of retail stores. It is expected to take four years to develop this massive Las Vegas commercial real estate endeavor.

Echelon Place Las Vegas by Boyd will only be second in single hospitality industry project to the $7 billion Project City Center by MGM Mirage.

In 2005 Boyd Gaming started planning the Las Vegas commercial project for the Stardust real estate after a strategy started in 1998 of diversifying by market segments and geographically.

Echelon Place Las Vegas Will Not Be Home To A Broadway Musical

Echelon Place Las VegasEchelon Place Las Vegas real estate mega resort by Boyd Gaming isn’t going to be home to a broadway musical. According to an executive for Boyd partner Anschutz Entertainment Group, the Strip and the Great White Way simply do not meet.

“We’re not fans of the Broadway phase,” said John Meglen, co-CEO of AEG Live Tours & Special Events. “I’ve never believed that people come to Las Vegas to see Broadway. They go to New York for a broadway musical. That was proven in Las Vegas with the family shows. People don’t come to Vegas for family entertainment. They go to Orlando or Orange County,” Meglen said. Echelon Place Takes Over Stardust Hotel Las Vegas Real Estate

Stardust Hotel Las VegasStardust hotel Las Vegas stops reservations after November 1, 2006 to make way for Echelon Place real estate.
$4 billion Echelon Place Las Vegas, developed by Boyd Gaming, will rise from the rubble of early next year.

Previously, Boyd Gaming said it would accept reservations into December, now November 1, is the stop date.
