New concert venue in Las Vegas takes $60 million REHAB to a new level. Actually the old JOINT at Hard Rock Las Vegas hotel has been closed and will be used for casino space. The new real estate is part of the casino hotel’s major expansion to be the hip and cool entertainment destination.

Hard Rock Las Vegas hotel unveils $60 million The JOINT concert venue today. The old Joint will be converted to casino space much needed by the expanding casino hotel. The new concert venue will accommodate 4,000 seats along with standing space for patrons to enjoy concerts, boxing, mma, corporate events and movie premieres.

Hard Rock Las Vegas hotel new joint 4,000 capacity theater opens April 17, 2009. The hotel is finishing construction on the concrete and steel of the open performance $60 million concert arena.
Sceno Plus, a design firm based in Montreal, designed the Las Vegas performance venue. They’ve also had their hand at the new Aliante Station hotel casino.

Hard Rock Las Vegas hotel continues construction while others abandon. Morgans Hotel Group, boutique hotel operator, forges ahead with the $760 million hotel casino expansion.
Update: 2/06/09 Hard Rock hotel South tower has been topped off.
They’ve told investors that financing has been secured and ready for continued success. During these trying economic times the Hard Rock is showing its strength in the hotel business.

Hard Rock Las Vegas NV hotel received Gaming Control Board Gaming license recommendation. The NV hotel owners can start collecting gaming revenues from their casino.
In Las Vegas casino news this week the state gaming board recommended giving jv partners Morgans Hotel Group, New York hotel operator, and DLJ Merchant Banking Partners a license to receive gaming revenue.
