Falcon Ridge in Summerlin Las Vegas is a custom gated neighborhood in the heart of The Ridges. Seven additional custom-home sites were released for sale at Falcon Ridge real estate, the newest and sixth neighborhood to open in The Ridges at Summerlin.

Nevada Ballet Theatre, Summerlin Las Vegas resident dance company, will celebrate 35 years with its “Ballet Under the Stars,” an outdoor evening performance at The Hills Park in Summerlin Nevada amphitheatre on Sept. 9, at 8 p.m. Summerlin is very culturally rich and quick access to Red Rock Resort Las Vegas and the Red Rock Mountains and Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. This is all very beautiful and vibrant Red Rock real estate.

The two-hour repertory program, produced by the ballet’s artistic director Bruce Steivel, will feature a variety of short dance vignettes, including a modern story ballet about the early years of Las Vegas’ colorful history. Tickets are $15 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger with gates opening at 6:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the theater, located at 1651 Inner Circle or by phone at 243-2623.

Nevada Cancer Institute in Summerlin Las Vegas celebrates its one year anniversary. The center opened its 142,000-square-foot, $50 million Red Rock real estate building near Town Center Drive and the 215 Las Vegas Beltway in September 2005.

“We have made significant strides during our first year of operation. We have successfully recruited some of the nation’s leading cancer researchers representing the University of Chicago, Yale Cancer Center and Harvard Medical School, just to name a few. In addition, we have educated Las Vegas Nevada residents about the unique health care issues that face this rapidly growing community. Nevada ranks ninth highest overall in cancer mortality rates among the 50 states. More than 4,200 Nevadans will die of cancer this year. Extending beyond Summerlin Las Vegas community, we have become a model for future cancer research centers throughout the nation.

Nevada Cancer Institute is a nonprofit, world-class cancer center and the state’s official cancer institute. The facility and its staff provide multi-disciplinary services including Phase I clinical trials, as well as quality of life and support services.

“Quality of life is a precious commodity and thanks to Nevada Cancer Institute, thousands of lives are made better because of the services, research and treatment performed there on a daily basis,” said Kevin Orrock, top division executive for The Howard Hughes Corp., developer of Summerlin real estate and Red Rock real estate in Summerlin Las Vegas. “We’re proud to have such an established institution in Summerlin.”
