Luxury hotel tower construction stops as necessary redesign begins.  Workers stopped interior work this week on the west tower Cosmopolitan high rise condo tower located on the Las Vegas Strip.

Exterior construction on the east and west towers, amenities and Las Vegas casino are continuing as planned.  At completion, the 8.5 acres, will house 2,998 hotel condo units within Cosmoplitan.

Cosmopolitan Las Vegas breathes new life with Deutsche Bank purchase.  The financially troubled luxury Las Vegas Strip hotel has been bought out of foreclosure by an affiliate of Deutsche Bank for about $1 billion and they will continue to manage the design and construction of the Strip development.

Cosmopolitan Las Vegas condo hotel on The Strip begin foreclosure proceedings. Deutsch Bank notified the Cosmopolitan real estate developers a week ago that they will start bankruptcy due to the rising construction costs and volatile credit markets.

The luxury high rise is adjacent to the massive MGM Mirage Projecty CityCenter resort on the Strip.

Another potential construction delay or complete scrapping of a $6 billion development could be The Plaza at the previous site of the New Frontier across from Wynn Las Vegas, Nevada.

Cosmopolitan Las Vegas condo hotel is looking for cash from Investors. The resort and luxury condominium project on the Strip, adjacent to Project CityCenter and Planet Hollywood NV hotel, is looking for $400 million.

Cost overruns are a result of rising construction fees and increased architectural plans. Most under construction resorts have been plagued with this scenario.

Cosmopolitan Las Vegas Resort Casino recently held a traditional sake and Japanese blessing ceremony to mark the placement of the Las Vegas luxury condos first piece of steel. The new $3 billion Las Vegas high rise real estate project at the Strip and northwest corner of Harmon Avenue will use a total of 41,000 tons of structural steel when it is done. Almost 100 luxury condominium officials were present April 9 when a crawler crane lifted a 60,000-pound box, 50-foot-tall girder, into place.

To purify the soil Cosmopolitan Las Vegas high rise project officials placed a pinch of salt at each of the four corners of the beam. A time capsule with engineering drawings in Japanese and English, signed by executives, were placed at the base of the beam.
