Celebrities scoop for charity 31st annual BEN & JERRY’s FREE cone day Tuesday, April 21, 2009.  The Ben & Jerry’s ice cream locations in Henderson, NV will serve free ice cream cones to benefit the Nevada Community Learning Centers and Lied Discovery Children’s Museum.

Celebrity scoopers will assist Ben & Jerry’s, a company that likes to support its community, with its “Free Cone Day.”  Local celebrities have been confirmed and announcement of scoop times will be announced soon.  They will dig in at both retail outlets to help raise money for local charities.

Las Vegas Strip celebrated Earth Hour 2009 with lights out from the Las Vegas welcome sign to downtown Las Vegas at Fremont Street Experience.  More than 2,400 cities in 82 countries participated in Earth Hour 2009.

Las Vegas was chosen as one of 10 flagship cities.  This was Las Vegas first time participation in the environmental support to raise awareness about climate change organized by the World Wildlife Foundation.
