Visitors flying into Las Vegas via McCarran International Airport fell 11.8 percent in March 2009. Approximately 3.6 million visitors flew in and out from Las Vegas, Nevada.
All top five airlines serving Las Vegas were affected by the decrease in traffic.
The decrease in passengers is more than the population of Henderson, Nevada of 244,000 fewer visitors at McCarran Airport.

Visitors flying to and from Las Vegas via McCarran Airport fell 15.2 percent to 3 million passengers in February 2009. During February 2008 there were approximately 3.6 million. The decline is equal to the amount of passengers during two busy weekends in Las Vegas, NV.

Visitors’ volume to McCarran Las Vegas Airport declines for 11th consecutive month in January 2009. This is the worst decline in passengers since post 9/11.
Almost 500 flights a day arrive in Las Vegas, NV, one almost every three minutes.
Year to date totals for January 2009 show a decrease of 15.7 percent to 3 million airline passengers through McCarran International Airport. Much of the decline was attributed to the economy and fewer flights to Las Vegas, Nevada. The above reasons showed a decline of 11.6 percent of capacity.

Las Vegas visitors at McCarran Airport declined 7.7 percent in 2008. Almost 44 million passengers departed and arrived at McCarran International Airport Las Vegas.
December 2008 didn’t do any better either. Only 3.2 million passengers shuttled through due to the slowdown in tourism and current economic condition. This is a decline of 14.1 percent for the month.

Las Vegas visitors at McCarran Airport fell almost 15 percent in November, 2008. Passenger traffic was near 3.2 million departures and arrivals last month according to news.
Total amount of departures and arrivals have been 40.9 million at McCarran International Airport through Nov. 2008. Traffic has fell 7.1 percent for the year.
