Passenger traffic at McCarran Airport Las Vegas near 13 percent in October, 2008. Total passenger traffic through Las Vegas was 3.6 million departures and arrivals.
Many hotels and casinos have lowered their room reservation prices even during the peek travel times to entice travelers. Gaming operators are hoping the lowered oil prices will allow more automobile travelers enjoy Las Vegas, Nevada.

Current economic condition slows Las Vegas visitors through McCarran International Airport. September 2008 registered 3.37 million passengers, a 13.2 percent decline for an 11th consecutive month.

Passenger traffic at Las Vegas airport dips near 10 percent from 2007 levels. McCarran International Airport has seen a decline in passengers due to airline flight cuts and the economic downturn and high fuel prices.
The decline last month in passenger traffic followed an 8.6 percent decline in July. This is the biggest decrease at the airport since February 2002.

McCarran Airport Las Vegas halts or deletes $360 million in projects from their five year capital improvement plan. The huge $3.7 billion in improvements to McCarran Airport is shedding some projects due to the current credit market and downturn in the airline industry.

McCarran Airport Las Vegas, Nevada passenger traffic 7 percent decline in June, 2008. The nation’s current weakened economy puts a damper on the leisure travel industry to Las Vegas residential real estate.
The amount of departures and arrivals at McCarran International were approximately 3.9 million. Year to date totals for passenger traffic through June, 2008 was 22.9 million.

McCarran Airport Las Vegas new passenger 2007 record of 47.7 million. This is an increase of 3.1 percent from 2006, but the lowest increase for five years.
The previous 2006 annual traffic record was 46.2 million of departures and arrivals from McCarran International Airport.
