CityCenter Las Vegas Condos Canceled And One Year Construction Delay

Project CityCenter HotelsProject CityCenter Harmon Las Vegas condos have been canceled along with a one year construction delay.  Structural integrity construction issues have forced the Harmon residential component of 200 units to be canceled from the $9.2 billion resort and delay the opening of the luxury Harmon Hotel.

Project CityCenter Las Vegas Opens Applications For Jobs Jan 5, 2009

Project CityCenter Hotels Project CityCenter Las Vegas opens applications for jobs on January 5, 2009.  The Las Vegas resort will need more than 12,000 jobs filled by an estimated 100,000 job applicants.  Employment for the $9.3 billion resort will commence early January.

Update 1/5/09: Project CityCenter Jobs are now available.

Hiring for CityCenter’s nongaming hotels, Vdara, Mandarin Oriental and Harmon will be administered by MGM Mirage.  In addition, they will oversee Aria and the dining, entertainment and retail real estate for Crystals.

MGM Mirage Sells Treasure Island Las Vegas To Ruffin For $775 Million

Treasure Island MGM Mirage sells Treasure Island Las Vegas hotel to Phil Ruffin for $775 million.  Ruffin, is the previous owner from Kansas, of the New Frontier hotel, across from the soon to open Encore Las Vegas.  He’s decided that there is no better time to invest in Vegas.

The New Frontier Strip hotel was sold for $1.24 billion in May 2007 to the Elad Group.  Imploded in Nov 2007 to a lot of fanfare.
