53 Miss America’s Outstanding Teens from around the country explored Wayne Newton’s Casa de Shenandoah Ranch, the iconic entertainer’s 42-acre property and highly anticipated Las Vegas attraction. The Wayne Newton Museum sponsored the ladies’ visit for the day while in town for the Miss America pageant by providing lunch, transportation and a sneak peek at the famed estate.
Ventriloquist Terry Fator will welcome special guest Miss ArkansasAlyse Eady to Terry Fator: Ventriloquism in Concert March 4-5 in the Terry Fator Theatre at The Mirage Las Vegas hotel. Eady will open the show at 7:30 p.m. each night, delivering a fun, entertaining routine that will delight the audiences.

First glimpse of the 53 contestants for the 2010 Miss America Pageant will happen today Jan 21, 2010 at 4 pm in the front plaza of Planet Hollywood Las Vegas. The Nation’s smart, talented and beautiful women arrive in Vegas for the pageant’s fifth consecutive year.
Kirsten Haglund, 19 years old, was crowned during the two hour ceremony for this 87 year old beauty pageant.
The winner of the Miss America pageant will receive $50,000 scholarship and a one year contract as the Miss America spokeswoman.
This long running pageant had a lot changed including hipper and modern feel more than ever. The clothes worn by the contestants to the music has been updated.
During one performance the contestants wore tank tops and blue jeans. They moved around the stage to hip hop music by a live dj on stage. It was a lighthearted moment when the introduced themselves to the audience.
