While approximately 1 billion viewers watched the pageant, Miss USA, Olivia Culpo was crowned Miss Universe 2012 live from Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 19, 2012. The 61st Annual “MISS UNIVERSE® Competition” was broadcast live on NBC with a Spanish simulcast on Telemundo.
