Ceremonial Dragon Dance kicked off the Chinese New Year Celebrations today at The Venetian and The Palazzo where Dr. Miriam and Mr. Sheldon G. Adelson, chairman of the board for Las Vegas Sands Corp., painted the eyes of the majestic dragon, bringing it to life.

In honor of the most celebrated sign of the Chinese Zodiac, The Venetian and The Palazzo are commemorating the prosperous holiday in an over-the-top fashion. Beginning with a ceremonial dragon dance at 1 p.m. on Jan. 23, the Chinese New Year celebrations include lavish feng shui-inspired décor, auspicious dish offerings and festive cocktails.
Winter displays at the waterfall, atrium & gardens at The Palazzo Las Vegas have their final touches in place today for the annual Winter in Venice celebration.
