The Venetian and The Palazzo Las Vegas hosted the 2012 James Beard Foundation Award nominations press conference today during which Susan Ungaro, president of the James Beard Foundation, and other board members of the foundation presented the semifinalists in each category.
Ceremonial Dragon Dance kicked off the Chinese New Year Celebrations today at The Venetian and The Palazzo where Dr. Miriam and Mr. Sheldon G. Adelson, chairman of the board for Las Vegas Sands Corp., painted the eyes of the majestic dragon, bringing it to life.

In honor of the most celebrated sign of the Chinese Zodiac, The Venetian and The Palazzo are commemorating the prosperous holiday in an over-the-top fashion. Beginning with a ceremonial dragon dance at 1 p.m. on Jan. 23, the Chinese New Year celebrations include lavish feng shui-inspired décor, auspicious dish offerings and festive cocktails.
