CelebrityGolf Classic at PGA Tour TPC Las Vegas golf course on April 4. The owner operator PGA Tour will host the Academy of Country Music Celebrity Golf Classic this second consecutive year. Many country music celebrities will be on hand because it is just before the ACM awards held at the MGM Grand Arena. The ACM awards will be hosted by Reba McEntire.
The Shriners Hospital for Children, sponsors the Frys.com Open, has donated an undisclosed amount of funds to continue the golf tour in Las Vegas, Nevada real estate. The Frys.com Open has been played in Vegas since 1983.
This year’s Las Vegas golf tournament will have a purse of $4 million and played at TPC at The Canyons and TPC Summerlin Las Vegas. The tournament will be held October 11 – 14, 2007. This is the last year for Fry’s Electronics’ sponsorship.
Tiger Woods captured a five stroke win at the PGA Championship. This 12th major championship win shows he is clearly back on top of his golf game and will enter 2007 poised to continue his dominance in Majors. PGA Golf returns to Las Vegas PGA Golf Tour event at TPC Summerlin and TPC at the Canyons Las Vegas. Questions about the future of the Las Vegas PGA Tour event, currently the only major professional golf tour stop in Southern Nevada, have dogged the PGA tour tournament for almost all of this millennium.
The PGA golf event has gone through sponsors at a near-record pace, and speculation that it would leave Las Vegas has never been far from the surface.
