Randy Couture received a rock star greeting from his fans at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, NV., when he weighed in at 228.5 pounds. This weight was more than six pounds when he upset Tim Silvia and regained the Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight championship. He might have figured that this extra weight will give him the needed strength to put at bay the power and bulk of Gabriel Gonzaga.

Gonzaga tipped the scale at 252 pounds, which was 10 pounds more than Ultimate Fighting Championship 70, when he knocked out Mirko Cro Cop.

Josh Koscheck received a negative reaction and boos when he was announced with the former welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre. Koscheck weighed in at 170 pounds.

Georges St. Pierre sprinted towards the steps to the scale and received a similar applause as Randy Couture. St. Pierre played up to the crowd after the staredown with Koscheck and pointed to where he thinks the title belt should be very soon.

Thales Leites missed weight when he checked in at 188 pounds. This was two pounds over the limit for a non title bought. Leites only had two hours to lose the weight or have a fine imposed. Ryan Jensen could cancel the fight due to a weight advantage. Source: UFC
