High School Students Spend The Day At Adelson Educational Campus Nov 6
The Dr. Miriam & Sheldon G. Adelson Educational Campus will host College Prep Within Your Reach, an open house for prospective Upper School (high school) students on Tuesday, Nov. 6 from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Students interested in enrolling for the 2013 – 2014 school year are invited to spend the day at the school to get a first hand look at campus life.
“We look forward to having future Upper School students spend the day with us attending classes and interacting with faculty and their peers in addition to touring our state of the art facilities,†said Paul Schiffman, Head of School. “Our Upper School has a 100 percent graduation and college placement rate with many of our students gaining admissions to some of the nation’s top universities. Every prospective student who enters through our doors on Nov. 6 is one step closer to receiving a superior education.â€
Potential students will learn about the school’s classes and sports programs while touring the state-of-the-art facilities that include: classrooms with smart board technology; laboratories; indoor track and gymnasium; indoor climate-controlled environment with multiple Olympic-sized swimming pools; outdoor regulation sized soccer field; tennis courts; basketball court; theater; musical auditorium and more. Students will also be served lunch and snacks.
Adelson Educational Campus offers one of the largest financial assistance programs in the form of scholarships in the state.
Adelson Educational Campus is one of only three nationally accredited NAIS (National Association of Independent Schools) college preparatory schools in Southern Nevada. Its main campus is located in Summerlin at 9700 West Hillpointe Rd and serves students ages 18 months to 12th grade.
The Henderson campus is located at Midbar Kodesh Temple in the new David L. Simon Wing at 1940 Paseo Verde Parkway and caters to students from Kindergarten to 2nd grade.
