Priscilla Presley Named 'Woman of The Year' By Nevada Ballet Theatre
Priscilla Presley named ‘Woman of the Year’ by Nevada Ballet Theatre for the 2011 Black & White Ball at ARIA Resort at CityCenter Las Vegas on Saturday, January 29, 2011. Presley is honored for her established and successful career in television, film and publishing – making her one of the most accomplished and admired women today.
The 2011 Woman of the Year at its annual Black & White Ball was a star-studded gala including performers from Cirque du Soleil’s Viva Elvis, Vince Neil, Alicia Jacobs, UFC fighter Frank Mir. Presley’s son Navarone Garibaldi and daughter Lisa Marie Presley walked the red carpet, too.
Since 1985, this star-studded gala has allowed Nevada Ballet Theatre the opportunity to present professional company dance productions to the Las Vegas community, provide quality dance instruction within its affiliated Academy and expose students in at-risk communities to the art form of dance through its well-known outreach program, Future Dance.
For the last three years, she has been the Ambassador of the Dream Foundation, whose mission is to fulfill the dreams of adults battling terminal illnesses.
“Priscilla’s years of dedication to the art of acting, producing and publishing among other endeavors are an inspiration to us,†said Nevada Ballet Theatre Co-Founder and Co-Chair Nancy Houssels. “We know the Las Vegas community will be equally amazed by the contributions she has made to the world of entertainment and performing arts over the course of her varied career.â€
