Relax And Rejuvenate With A Therapeutic Massage During Spa Week 2014
Wish you could release the tension and feel energized from the build-up of stress in your busy lifestyle? Now is the perfect time during the $50 spa treatments offered for Spa Week October 20-26, 2014.
I really enjoy this part of the year because I was invited to sample a spa treatment and share the experience with my readers. This Spa Week treatment I chose was an 80-minute blissful retreat to almost sleep from Elements Massage in Summerlin.
Guess what? Relaxing includes a departure from social media on your smartphone, tablet or smartwatch, too. Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and more were all on their own in a shut-down stage while I basked in well-needed relaxation.
I called to make my reservation for an 80-minute session at Elements Massage in Summerlin. There were choices available from Monday – Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m and Sunday 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. A time is available during anyone’s very busy day.
Sue answered the phone and asked a few questions including timing, aches and pains, what I wanted to concentrate on and which therapist would be best for my treatment. She was friendly and we quickly decided the best spa treatment time.
I asked to showcase what men can also enjoy during Spa Week and Sue said that Elements Massage specializes in massage only so their male clients don’t have to worry about what other spa locations in Las Vegas where there might be hair and nail salon clients, too. In fact, when I was arriving for my massage, a male client completed his treatment and made a reservation for a return visit.
I arrived a little bit early at Elements Massage and was greeted by a very helpful receptionist and offered water. Soon after my completion of a new client form with current aches and pains I wish to work on my therapist Sarah was ready for my appointment.
She asked if I wanted aromatherapy with three choices including Lemongrass. The smell of lemon is refreshing and that was my pick along with it is said to support the circulatory system and may support healthy tendon and joint function.
After the choice of aromatherapy Sarah asked what I wanted pain or aches I wanted to work on and then the massage began. An 80-minute session was very exciting to experience and expected many of my arm, hand, back and leg aches to be attended to.
This is from Elements Massage website: “At Elements, we work with you to exceed your expectations by matching the right therapist to your desired outcome. Our therapists spend time with you to understand your body’s problem areas and learn about any health conditions you may have, therefore customizing the experience to meet your needs.
The first step in getting the therapy you need right now is determining what type of pressure you prefer.â€
The room was very comfortable with dark chocolate walls, dim lights, a comfortable table, aromatherapy and music to help you experience bliss. A nice added touch was a padded hangar for those delicate tops.
Treatment included back, arms, hands, legs, feet and head. I also enjoyed a scalp massage. Using a computer and smartphones during the day a lot of tension is built up in my upper back, forearms and hands.
Several of my more severe knots, trigger points and aches were found and special attention was given to pinpoint sections and working-out the tension. I asked for medium pressure and it worked well to an extended massage.
That was exactly what I needed, calm and collected after my massage. A side benefit, my phone was off so I even saved battery life. Hah.
Sarah offered water and said I should drink plenty of it to help release the toxins. This was a delightful experience and am excited to return.
Imagine time for yourself without the phones ringing, alerts from messages, social media responses, driving to appointments and daily stress?! This is relaxation and rejuvenation I needed.
