Summerlin Arts Festival 2007 With La Strada dell'Arte Is This Weekend
Summerlin Arts Festival 2007 along with La Strada dell’Arte and Celebration of the Arts will start a weekend long arts event at Summerlin Centre Community Park from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on September 29 – 30.
More than 120 amateur and professional artists will paint the sidewalks this weekend and sell their artwork.
The outdoor arts festival will be free to attendees and include entertainers including the Academy of Nevada Ballet Theatre at 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m. both days.
Amazing food art demonstrations including both ice and pumpkin carving by Chef Chanh Bhoupa of Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts Las Vegas, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Live music and entertainers from The Grand Canal Shoppes at The Venetian commence at 2 p.m.
Refreshments will be available at the arts festival in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Headliner Sixtiesmania is on stage Saturday and David Van Such, jazz musician, performs Sunday.
The Celebration of the Arts in Summerlin Las Vegas started in 1993. This year the arts festival hosts a collection of artwork such as sculpture, jewelry, paintings, mixed media, soaps, glasswork, pottery, woodcrafts, apparel and handcrafted dolls.
La Strada dell’Arte features guest artist Julie Kirk from Chino, CA, an street painter who is frequently commissioned by national corporations. She will create a sidewalk masterpiece for public viewing at La Strada dell’Arte.
The public can also participate in the festival by purchasing sidewalk squares for $5.
