Ben & Jerry’s FREE cone day serves 10,500 scoops and $2,500 for local charity at the District at Green Valley Ranch, Sunset Station and Galleria at Sunset on March 23, 2010. Approximately 490 gallons of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream were given away, equivalent to $37,000, for 32nd Annual “Free Cone Day†event.
The Henderson locations enlisted the help of local celebrity scoopers to benefit Lied Discovery Children’s Museum, Nevada Community Learning Centers (formerly Classroom on Wheels) and newcomer St. Jude’s Ranch for Children. More than $2,500 was raised surpassing last year’s numbers.
The District at Green Valley Ranch location welcomed the help of Angelica Bridges and the ladies of FANTASY, Human Nature, performers from “Thunder from Down Under,†magician Nathan Burton, comedian Vinnie Favorito, Vegas.com President Howard Lefkowitz, Elvis impersonator Harry Shahoian and Thom Sesma (Scar in Disney’s THE LION KING).
Ben & Jerry’s Sunset Station Hotel location welcomed scooping help from Sunset Station’s own acoustic rocker Shawn Eiferman, “X†Burlesque’s “X†Girls and comedian Todd Paul.
Ben & Jerry’s Galleria at Sunset location featured interactive building displays from Lied Discovery Children’s Museum with NASCAR’s â€X†Burlesque’s “X†Girls and Taylor Barton lending a helping scoop.
