Revelers will salute the end of the Mayan calendar with the Las Vegas debut of Unibroue’s stout Belgian-style tripel, La Fin du Monde, which will be on draft for the first time at Commonwealth. The only official La Fin du Monde party in Sin City (www.lafindumondeday.com) will conclude at the stroke of midnight with a toast, a balloon release and a chance for partygoers to win a year’s worth of the prized brew.

Participants may enter the contest by posting photos of themselves at Commonwealth on Instagram, accompanied by a quote about life and the hashtags #findumonde, #commonwealth and #dtlv. The most creative photo and quote combination will win the supply of beer.

Commonwealth brings a stylish new social scene to the burgeoning Downtown Las Vegas. The swanky 6,000-square-foot cocktail bar is a collision of art and architectural influences inspired by pre-Prohibition era design and libations; complete with its very own backroom speakeasy. Crystal chandeliers bring a touch of elegance to the overall design, which evokes a worn, industrial ambiance.

The cocktail menu combines classic and progressive methods and ingredients to offer drinks like, “Let’s Get Naked and See Who’s Stronger” and “Little Hot Mess,” that make an indelible impression. A rooftop bar offers an experiential setting with an urban brick feel and 360 degree views of downtown.
