Celine DionCeline Dion says au revoir to “A New Day” concert from Caesars Palace Las Vegas, NV hotel. An emotional Celine ends her Las Vegas show into the wee hours of Sunday morning talking with fans, celebrities, family and reporters in the Colosseum.

Celine is part of a large family, youngest of 14 siblings, 10 of which were with her Sunday morning. Her son, Rene Charles, husband manager, Rene Angelil and her mother attended the eventful final performance at Caesars.

Number 717 was the final performance count of her four and half year show. Since March 2003, she has played to 3 million adoring fans and collected more than $400 million.

Over 100,000 rose petals were showered over the singer after her final “A New Day” performance.

Usually, a single rose was given to a lucky audience member, at the end of every show. This evening, she presented it to her son and he returned the favor. To top off the evening, the show’s director Franco Dragone, graciously gave her 700 white roses to represent one for each wonderful show.

A final surprise for the dancers and singer was a shower of 1,000s of red rose petals on the stage.

The 4,100 seat venue at Caesars Palace Las Vegas, Nevada hotel will usher Bette Middler on February 20, 2008, in “The Showgirl Must Go On.” Cher will be announcing soon her show in the same auditorium.
