Along with expanded areas that are more focused on different genres of art, the community festival will feature additional areas of art and entertainment, expanded hours of operation, and more parking and food options.

For the first event, event organizers have already doubled the amount of parking and shuttle service. The October Anniversary will also feature 15 mobile food trucks, including the popular Slidin’ Thru, Fuku Burger and Lovegrub Truck. Entertainment and shuttle information can be found below.

“We want to slowly expand the event to appeal and attract a wider audience,” said First Friday Las Vegas, LLC managing partner Joey Vanas. “With these new areas, we are opening up the festival to give emerging artists a larger platform to display their work and to provide the community with an easier way to maneuver through whichever type of art and entertainment they’re attracted to.”

The event will continue to grow over the coming months with the addition of a third art-focused area of downtown that will feature higher-end artwork and sophisticated entertainment.

First Friday Las Vegas has been a mainstay of arts and culture in downtown Las Vegas for nine years. In 2011, just shy of the October nine year anniversary, the arts and culture festival welcomed a new ownership group, First Friday Las Vegas, LLC, comprised of Zappos.com executives Tony Hsieh, Fred Mossler and Steve Hill, as well as downtown developer Andrew Donner and Joey Vanas. The outdoor event features several areas throughout Downtown Las Vegas that showcase artists of all calibers and genres, supplementing with live music, food and other celebratory events.
