Harvest For Hope, the premier family-friendly affair featuring an evening of fun for both the young and the young at heart, will be hosted by Communities In Schools of Nevada (CISN) on October 19 from 5-9 p.m. at World Market Center, Pavilion 3. The overwhelming success of the inaugural Scarecrow Festival held in October 2011 has allowed for Communities In Schools of Nevada to evolve the family event into a must-attend autumn soiree under its new name, Harvest For Hope. The evening will be highlighted by a full spread of delicious tastings prepared by The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas’ diverse assembly of award-winning restaurants.

Signature dishes will be offered by the award-winning restaurants at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas. China Poblano will serve Flautas de Pato con Mole Miahauteco, Sopa de Calabaza, mango sticky rice, coconut tapioca balls, and salt air margaritas. Blue Ribbon will offer assorted sushi rolls, and Comme Ça will create its signature lobster roll. D.O.C.G. has pumpkin raviolini on the menu, while Holstein’s will dish out Billy burger sliders, sweet potato chips and applesauce cupcakes.

Jaleo will serve Jamón Ibérico de bellota Fermin, Gambas al ajillo, and Fricandó de carilleras de ternera y puré de patatas al aceite de olive, alongside a Sangría de Vino Tinto. Estiatorio Milos will offer Tiropita and Spanakopita, mini Milos Gyros, a tomato salad and Greek yogurt. Scarpetta has yellowtail crudo and ricotta agnolotti on the menu, while STK will serve spiced pickled prawns and heirloom tomato salad. The Henry will provide Short Rib Benedict as well as Millionaire’s Deviled Eggs.

Seasonal activities offer the perfect family night out as children can jump aboard the trackless train ride to enter the event, stop by the petting zoo, and explore a police cruiser and fire engine. Once inside, they can tackle the rock wall, obstacle course and jousting.

Caricature and balloon artists will be on hand, as well as a dress up photo booth, face painting, stilt walkers and a unicycler. Festive games will be provided by Fantasy Entertainment Productions in addition to an Insert Coin(s) video game lounge. After a full round of activities, guests are invited to indulge at the Sugar Factory Candy Bar.

Some of Las Vegas’ most creative forces have united to design one-of-a-kind scarecrows that will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. Donors such as Neiman Marcus and Crystals at CityCenter have shifted the look of traditional scarecrows to create original works of art.

Schools and student organizations are also lending their artistic talents to create unique designs that will be paired with unique packages such as Pawn Stars meet and greet or UNLV Rebel Basketball VIP experiences.
