Southern Highlands Las Vegas Resort By Olympia Gaming Set For Summer

Southern Highlands Las VegasSouthern Highlands Las Vegas Resort by Olympia Gaming is planning a summer start on its first Southern Nevada $1 billion resort property. The Southern Highlands Resort real estate completion is expected by fall 2009.

Southern Highlands Las Vegas resort will be located on 70 acres of land located at Las Vegas Boulevard South and St. Rose Parkway.

Southern Highlands mixed use real estate development designs will showcase 1,400 hotel rooms, convention space, casino and about eight restaurants.

The Las Vegas mixed use real estate project was approved for a 120,000-square-foot casino, 3,200 hotel rooms and a 530 foot high hotel tower last year.

The Las Vegas casino has planned more rooms than other off Strip real estate projects. South Point Las Vegas has 700 rooms. Both meeting and convention space will attract business during the week.

Large groups of gatherings for the highly competitive Las Vegas conventions market book anywhere from five to 10 years in advance for space. Smaller groups book two to three years in advance. This is where Southern Highlands Resort will help with their convention space.

The hiring of key positions of operations personnel held last month while general manager will be sometime this summer.

Olympia Group division Olympia Gaming is the developer of the 2,700-acre Southern Highlands Las Vegas master plan community.

Park Highlands Las Vegas master plan by Olympia Group broke ground late last year on the 2,675 acre real estate in North Las Vegas real estate project.
