Summerlin real estate residents get healthy with The Great American Summerlin Shape-up. Almost 100 Summerlin residents are enjoying the Summerlin master plan first community wide fitness plan for ages 12 and older.

The Summerlin Council of the Summerlin Community Association launched in January the fitness program of four and eight week weigh ins, lectures on fitness, health and nutrition from Summerlin Hospital Medical Center specialists. There will also be fitness classes and twice a week walks.

Summerlin Hospital medical personnel help the fitness participants set weight loss goals when they registered.

The participants are looking forward to better health and fitness. With the monthly weigh ins residents are held accountable for their progress. The Summerlin Council’s program is informative, fun and motivational in helping the fitness participants reach their personal goals. 

General Growth Properties and Summerlin Hospital Medical Center are partners with the sponsoring The Summerlin Council. Participants who achieve their weight loss by April 14 will be in a drawing for one of two $500 gift certificates by General Growth Properties. The gift cards can be used at The Boulevard Mall, Meadows Mall, Fashion Show Mall and the Venetian Las Vegas The Grand Canal Shoppes.

Summerlin real estate developer is The Howard Hughes Corporation. The 22,500 acre Las Vegas master plan is located in the western portion of Las Vegas, Nevada real estate.
