Dinner In The Sky Las Vegas Official Groundbreaking Ceremony June 12

Dinner in the Sky Las Vegas officially began construction with a groundbreaking ceremony minutes away from the Strip at an 8.8 acre site June 12, 2013. The one-of-a-kind upscale dining attraction serving meals 180 feet in the air is scheduled to open later this year.

Celebration attendees included Owner Janeen Hinden, Managing Partner Kelley Jones, and Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) Director of Customer Experience Hugh Sinnock.

“Dinner in the Sky will bring new meaning to ‘going out to dinner,’” said Hinden. “More than just a dinner, this is a dining attraction. Here at Dinner in the Sky you will enjoy your dinner 180 feet above the ground with the backdrop of fabulous Las Vegas.”

The groundbreaking ceremony was concluded with Hinden, Jones, Sinnock and Hinden’s two children, Michael Hinden Jr. and Janeen Hinden, breaking ground with oversized spoons.

Dinner in the Sky will suspend diners on two open-air tables, each weighing in at nearly seven tons with seating for up to 22 guests, offering 360-degree views of the Las Vegas Strip and surrounding mountains. The franchise will be the first of its kind in the U.S. and will become the first addition to the famous Las Vegas skyline since 2010.

Dining enthusiasts and thrill-seekers alike will enjoy a night out unlike any other; strapped in by six-point harnesses for safety while enjoying a three-course gourmet dinner.
