With major sponsors Citi and Hertz, House of Blues tours are being scheduled throughout the U.S. over the next 20 months featuring bands such as ZZ Top and Flogging Molly. The celebration commences in December with performances at multiple House of Blues locations by Rock and Roll Hall of Famers ZZ Top (Las Vegas dates are December 5 and 7).

And of course, House of Blues Las Vegas will continue to offer performances by their resident headliner, Carlos Santana for An Intimate Evening with Santana, Greatest Hits Live, Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow. Dates for select 2013 shows are currently on sale through Ticketmaster.com and at the House of Blues Las Vegas Box Office.

Additionally, in the spirit of the founding values, the House of Blues venues across the country will be providing 20,000 Thanksgiving meals to the needy as part of the Feed the Souls Food Drive. House of Blues Las Vegas is donating food items to the Las Vegas Rescue Mission for their 2012 Annual Food Drive that will provide food to thousands of needy families this holiday season.

Their donation will be enhanced by a generous monetary donation from The Milagro Foundation, a charity established by resident headliner Carlos Santana and his family.

On Monday, November 19, House of Blues staff, some of their musical performers, and a representative from The Milagro Foundation will load into a Hertz van to personally visit the Mission to serve meals and provide entertainment.

Other events surrounding the 20th Anniversary include Happy Anniversary Hour in the Foundation Room featuring 20 Happy Hour events in November and December that will benefit 20 unique local non-profit organizations. These events run from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and are open to the public, with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the corresponding charity.* Patrons are encouraged to come out and support the charities of their choice while celebrating the beginning of the holiday season.

House of Blues charitable organization, the International House of Blues Foundation, which is dedicated to bringing the arts to schools and communities through its “Action For The Arts” program that promotes cultural understanding and encourages creative expression, is also part of the anniversary activities. For every ticket sold for House of Blues’ 20th Anniversary concerts, $1 will go towards supporting IHOBF.

The first House of Blues was established in Harvard Square and in the ensuing 20 years, House of Blues has accumulated countless musical highlights including producing the Super Bowl XXXI Halftime Show, and presenting the first-ever live-music broadband-pay-per-view event on the Internet. House of Blues Las Vegas opened inside Mandalay Bay in 1999, and has presented numerous memorable concerts including Bob Dylan, Prince and Kid Rock.

“House of Blues has been a wonderful home for music fans and performers since the first House of Blues opened 20 years ago,” said Andrew Economon, general manager for House of Blues Las Vegas. “The Las Vegas House of Blues has always been a favorite venue for locals and a big part of what we do here is about community. We look forward to another great 20 years.”
