Miss America Pageant At Aladdin Hotel Las VegasMISS AMERICA PAGEANT 2007 will return to the Aladdin Hotel Las Vegas, announced today by vp of production, music and events, CMT; Art McMaster, president and CEO of the Miss America Organization; and Michael Mecca, president and CEO for the Aladdin Resort Las Vegas. The two-hour telecast will air live on CMT, Monday, January 29, 2007 at 8 p.m., ET/PT.

“Last year’s Miss America Pageant was a huge success for CMT and we’re pleased to be in business again with Mike Mecca’s team at the Aladdin Resort Las Vegas,” said Brock, executive producer for CMT. “Their first class facilities will once again provide the framework for what promises to be another landmark achievement for the network and Miss America.”

“The Miss America Organization could not be happier to return to the host hotel, the Aladdin Hotel Las Vegas, which exceeded our expectations in January with the debut of our Las Vegas show,” said McMaster. “We are thrilled that the city of Las Vegas has embraced our Organization again and our legendary Miss America Pageant. This Las Vegas hotel venue will be the perfect compliment to our 2007 show which will introduce a growing audience to the tradition, rich in history, of Miss America.”

“We are delighted that CMT and the Miss America Pageant are returning to the Aladdin Las Vegas as we transition into the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino Las Vegas,” said Mecca. “Las Vegas embraced this event last year and it is only fitting that it is returning to our city and to this property. We are home to the most beautiful theatre in Las Vegas, which will be newly renovated when the pageant comes back in January, and our transformation into Planet Hollywood Las Vegas will be very close to complete for the weekend of events.”

Miss America’s activities at the Aladdin Hotel Las Vegas begin with the Pageant Preliminaries, which include swimsuit, talent and evening wear competitions, on Thursday, January 25 and continue through Saturday, January 27 at the newly-remodeled Theatre for the Performing Arts. Tickets to the preliminaries and the Miss America Pageant Finals will be available to the public at ticketmaster.com.

For the first time in its 85 year history, the MISS AMERICA PAGEANT took place outside of Atlantic City and debuted in Las Vegas at the Aladdin Hotel Las Vegas. Jennifer Berry, of Oklahoma, is the current Miss America.
