UFC 79 NEMESIS Liddell vs Silva will be held Dec 29, 2007 at Mandalay Bay Las Vegas. Wanderlei Silva hasn’t fought for the UFC in seven years. The crowd was excited and showed their enthusiasm with a roar as the weigh ins happened. “The Axe Murderer” ripped off his shirt during the staredown and showed the crowd he was ready for this fight.

The fighters made weight for the mixed martial arts fight, Liddell 204 pounds and Silva 205 pounds. The crowd’s cheers continued for Matt Hughes and Georges St Pierre, both at 170 pounds, for the interim UFC welterweight title bout.
