Viva McDonald's Las Vegas VIP Event With Rat Pack & Ronald McDonald
Viva McDonald’s Las Vegas VIP event with the Rat Pack and Ronald McDonald was held this evening on the Las Vegas Strip. The celebrity impersonators Frank, Sammy, Dean and showgirls were present at the red carpet event. This 24 hour, seven days a week technology inspired restaurant is the first of its kind and at 8,600 square feet, the largest McDonald’s in NV.
Ronald McDonald arrived in style on the back of a red coupe de ville. After greeting guests and media he stepped on stage with an Elvis Presley impersonator who sang “Viva McDonald’s.” What could be better in Las Vegas, Ronald, Elvis and McDonalds?!
Other guests attending the red carpet event were Birdie the Early Bird, Hamburglar and Grimace. It was definitely fun seeing all of my favorite childhood characters come to life.
There was a silent auction available for guests to bid on sports memorabilia and it sparked a lot of interest. Proceeds went to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas.
Viva McDonald’s will officially open to the public from 11 a.m.-6 p.m., Thursday, December 11, 2008 in Las Vegas. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place along with Mayor Oscar Goodman and McDonald’s executives. Ronald McDonald will receive a key to the city at 2 pm during the ceremony. Local comedy magician Mac King will work behind the counter for an hour to raise money the Ronald McDonald House Charities.
This fun and unique dining experience showcases a giant video marquee and four large video screens with rolling video and graphics inviting nearby guests inside.
Inside the two story open ceiling dining room is a 14-screen media ring with content from the debut of McDonald’s Channel. Visitors can enjoy content from Discovery Communication including Animal Planet, TLC, Science Channel and the Discovery Channel. Travelers and visitors will really enjoy wifi at Viva McDonald’s.
Viva McDonald’s state-of-the-art all electric kitchen has six platen grills, a Low Oil Volume (LOV) fryer and will sell McCafé beverages, McDonald’s new line of espresso coffees including lattes, cappuccinos and mochas.
A 25 year old McDonald’s restaurant next store will close its doors for the last time on the evening of Dec 10th to usher in the technology centric McDonald’s restaurant of the future at 2896 Las Vegas Boulevard. It is located across the street from the Riviera hotel and adjacent to Circus Circus hotel.
