W Las Vegas Real Estate Plans For Sale Or Development By Edge Resorts
W Las Vegas condo hotel development by Edge Resorts has been approached by various investors in Las Vegas real estate interested in the two neighboring properties, which cover 49.5 acres of land on the northeast corner of Harmon and Koval, which includes the W Las Vegas and the current site of the Harbor Island Apartments.
Las Ramblas Las Vegas was going to be built on the Las Vegas land that is currently occupied by The Harbor Island land abandoned by The Related Co. earlier this year. The property, which borders the W real estate acreage, was purchased by Edge for $202 million last June.
Edge Director of Public Relations reports that the W condos is still an active Las Vegas condo project. They have hired a firm to field offers from parties interested in everything from gaming, investing or project partnerships.

W Las Vegas condos hired Credit Suisse (Group) to manage that process so they could focus on development. There’s quite a bit of worldwide interest now in gaming. The W Las Vegas high rise condos has the brand, land and everything in Vegas.Â
Clark County Planning Commission last week saw Edge representatives to request an expansion of the gaming for the former Las Ramblas Las Vegas. The submission was for the 22 acres of Las Vegas land currently occupied by the Harbor Island Apartments, with the casino portion moved closer to Harmon Avenue.
Edge has no intention of building the Las Ramblas Las Vegas luxury condominium real estate plans. The submission was intended to keep the company’s options open for development or for sale.
Centra Properties and Related Co., were the previous owners. They purchased the property in 2005 for $75 million, planning to develop a 4,000 unit luxury Las Vegas condo hotel project. Source: LV Review
