Carlos Santana and Oscar GoodmanHard Rock Las Vegas hotel unveils $60 million The JOINT concert venue today.  The old Joint will be converted to casino space much needed by the expanding casino hotel.  The new concert venue will accommodate 4,000 seats along with standing space for patrons to enjoy concerts, boxing, mma, corporate events and movie premieres.

In attendance today April 14, 2009 at 4 pm was Carlos Santana, legendary guitarist and resident headliner, Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman, President and co-CEO of AEG Live/Concerts West John Meglen, President of Morgans Hotel Group, President of Sceno Plus Patrick Berge, Las Vegas and President and COO of Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Randy Kwasniewski to celebrate and commemorate this historic event.

The JOINT Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

The JOINT theater was designed by Montreal based architectural firm Sceno Plus.

Mayor Goodman arrived and talked with the crowd about his excitement for the new theater.  Resident headliner Carlos Santana took the microphone and said how happy he is for his upcoming residency at the JOINT venue.

Carlos Santana and Mayor Goodman took the large scissors and cut the purple ribbon to the entrance of the concert venue.
