Snapchat Your Festival Experience At Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas

Snapchat will provide a free dedicated Wi-Fi signal during the sold out Electric Daisy Carnival, Las Vegas inside the Las Vegas Motor Speedway from June 20 – 22, 2014. Created to allow both companies applications to function with ease, this special Wi-Fi connection will allow attendees to have a reliable connection to share their experiences from inside this year’s sold-out festival.

EDC will be an even bigger spectacle this year, accommodating approximately 50,000 more fans and occupying a larger portion of the Las Vegas Motor Speedway than it did in 2013. Fans that have downloaded the Snapchat and Insomniac apps to their Android and iPhone devices will be able to share all their unforgettable moments in real-time while also staying informed with the latest festival news.

“The fan experience is our top priority and we’re excited that Snapchat has offered to provide free wireless technology that will enable both of our applications to function with ease during the show,” said Pasquale Rotella, CEO and founder of Insomniac. “Traditionally, Wi-Fi services at large-capacity festivals have been unreliable, and so I’m happy that Snapchat has stepped in and will provide a service which allows fans to use both our services in a fun and engaging way. If it’s successful, and can be done without increasing the cost to our fans, we may look at expanding its reach during future events.”

Both the Snapchat and Insomniac apps are available for free download. The new Insomniac mobile app will re-launch on June 17, with special content geared toward EDC Las Vegas and the Electronic Dance Music lifestyle. The updated application will provide fans with everything from set times, venue maps and amenities to guest services.
