Big EDM Party Continues During Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas Day 2
Day two of the Electric Daisy Carnival has come to a thundering close after welcoming a sold-out crowd to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway on June 21, 2014. The dusk-till-dawn festivities at the massive music festival featured more than 65 musical acts, including up-and-coming artists from this year’s Discovery Project.

This year, winners were expanded beyond aspiring DJ/producers to include winning selections from the art installation, stage, and costume design categories.
Returning for the second year, the VIP Dining Deck welcomed festivalgoers as they enjoyed spectacular views of the kineticFIELD and a three-course meal prepared by Chef Keven Lee in conjunction with Kitchen24. Drawing inspiration from the energetic atmosphere, items such as the Electric Fruit Bowl—a pineapple shell of tropical fruits, honeyed yogurt, and organic crunch power granola sprinkled on top—were served throughout the night until 4 a.m.
Adding to the completely immersive setting of the festival grounds, more than 30 carnival rides, five Ferris wheels, and 20 large-scale art installations—including the re-imagined Electric Daisy—encouraged fans to explore and engage with their surroundings. The 125-foot structure featured LED lights and white petals spanning 45 feet as fans danced beneath its warm glow.
The bassCON stage unveiled a brand new design that engulfed the DJ booth at the mouth of a 65-foot-tall, apocalyptic Cyclops, surrounded by 26 large, graffiti-stained steel containers and crushed automobiles.
Free water was provided to fans throughout the night at the four water stations throughout the grounds. New dining options were also available, including a number of gourmet food trucks and a fruit stand blending fresh smoothies throughout the evening.
