Newest $1 billion resort opened to huge crowds at M Resort Las Vegas on March 1, 2009. Commercial real estate developer Anthony Marnell III opened the 390-room M Resort at 10 p.m. with plenty of fanfare and press.
At 9:50 a fireworks spectacular occurred at south end of the hotel to commence the grand opening events for the public.
The doors opened to the public after a day of grand opening festivities planned for VIP’s. A special ribbon cutting ceremony by Henderson Mayor James Gibson started M Resort’s events.
Local residents from Seven Hills, Anthem and Southern Highlands real estate have been waiting for a locals’ casino. Now within minutes of their residence at St. Rose Parkway and Interstate 15, M Resort Las Vegas is open for a quick getaway.
The massive gaming real estate development took four years planning and 18 months of construction.
The resort will cater to locals with standard room rates beginning at $54 weekdays and $95 per night on the weekends. Guest can choose one of the 390 hotel rooms that include some three-dozen suites ranging from 1,440 to 2,400 square feet.
The 92,000 square foot casino has many options for gaming. Guests can enjoy a race and sports book, 64 table games, 1,800 slot machines and a 12-table poke room.
The M Resort has many options within its real estate: a 100,000 square foot event piazza, 23,000 square foot spa, an upscale live entertainment lounge, nine restaurants, and five destination bars. For meeting planners, the M has 60,000 square feet of meeting and conference space.
M Las Vegas dining options include Baby Cakes bakery; Studio Terzetto, a steak and seafood restaurant; sushi and sashimi bar Restaurant Veloce Cibo & Bar Veloce; B, a show kitchen buffet; a standard casino café, the Red Cup Cafe; Piazza Grille, a Mediterranean-style grill; Vig Deli; Marinelli’s Authentic Italian Dishes; and Hostile Grape Wine Cellar, where 120 types of wine are available for tasting.
The 23,000-square-foot Spa Mio includes a full service salon. Spa treatments are located 16 treatment rooms, as well as a Jacuzzi, steam and wet areas.
