He faced Anderson Silva in his third UFC title defense, but was KOd in the first round results. At UFC 68 he was the winner and stopped Jason MacDonald from Canada at the start of the second round. Franklin wants the results of UFC 72 to show him the winner against Japan’s Yushin Okami for the match that could make him the number one contender for the middleweight title.

Forrest Griffin (13-4-0), fighting out of Las Vegas, Nevada real estate, whose freestyle ability helped him achieve Light Heavyweight winner of The Ultimate Fighter Season 1. He has faced serious contendors in the Octagon including Tito Ortiz, Elvis Sinosic, Stephan Bonnar and Keith Jardine. Griffin wants to reclaim his status as a rising light heavyweight while winning over the Belfast crowd with spectacular victory results at UFC 72.
Ramirez (6-2-1), who hails from the same East Los Angeles, California neighborhood that boxing superstar Oscar De La Hoya came from, is known for his explosive right hand and a great competitor. Known for his kickboxing and wrestling skills, Ramirez has the raw power to knock out his opponent with either a kick or a swing. He made his Ultimate Fighting Championship debut at UFC 65, and ready to prove he belongs in the higher levels of the UFC. Who will be the UFC 72 winners?
