Caesars Palace and Planet Hollywood will kick off 2012 with a bang. Both resorts will light up the sky with firework shows beginning at midnight, weather permitting, and lasting approximately eight minutes each. Revelers across the Strip will have a great view of the impressive fireworks display.

New Year’s Eve at Serendipity 3

Serendipity 3 at Caesars Palace will host its third annual New Year’s Eve bash. The Strip-side hotspot invites guests to indulge in unrivaled Strip views while noshing on an over-the-top buffet prepared by Chef Michael Wolf. The buffet will include Asian chicken salad boxes, heirloom tomato bruschetta, Kobe sliders, Ahi tuna tacos and jumbo shrimp cocktail as well as a New York steak carving station and a risotto station.

Samplings of the eatery’s famed desserts will also be available on the buffet including Frrrozen hot chocolate “shots” and Serendipity 3 cupcakes sticks. The buffet will be complemented by a cash bar and live entertainment from DJ Adventure. Guests will celebrate 2012 with a complimentary champagne toast and cake as fireworks dazzle overhead at midnight. The New Year’s Eve party lasts from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Tickets include the dinner buffet, one complimentary well drink, entertainment and champagne toast. Serendipity 3 will also offer several specials throughout New Year’s weekend including the New Year’s fireworks sundae featuring mint chocolate chip ice cream, marshmallow sauce, hot fudge and whipped cream, all topped with pop rock candy and sparklers.

Restaurant Guy Savoy

Restaurant Guy Savoy at Caesars Palace invites guests to treat themselves to one of its special New Year’s menus available on Saturday, Dec. 31 and Sunday, Jan. 1. The Black Truffle Prestige menu is priced at $398 per person and features nine decadent courses including Guy Savoy’s famous artichoke and black truffle soup, black truffle risotto and brie black truffle, among others.

For $248 per person, diners can experience the seven-course Menu Elegance which showcases some of the best dishes from world-renowned Chef Guy Savoy including Colors of Caviar and roasted mallard duck with Guy Savoy spices. There will also be an à la carte menu available and Sommelier Phil Park will be ready with champagne to pair with each menu. The restaurant will open at 5:30 p.m. and reservations can be made by calling 702.731.SAVOY.

Rao’s

The 115-year-old family-run restaurant will offer a five-course menu for New Year’s Eve, available for $140 per person. The menu features a selection of authentic Italian dishes and favorites such as rigatoni and meatballs and Uncle Vincent’s famous lemon chicken. The restaurant is open from 5 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and reservations can be made by calling 702.862.3530.

The Range Steakhouse

The Range Steakhouse will offer the perfect meal to end 2011. Guests can enjoy a four-course steakhouse dinner while taking in spectacular views of the Las Vegas Strip from 40-foot wraparound windows. Seatings for the first menus are available at 6:30 p.m., 7 p.m., 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. and are priced at $95 per person. The last seating, priced at $125 per person, is available at 8:30 p.m., 9 p.m., 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.

All parties will receive a raffle ticket for their chance to win $1,000. The drawing will take place at 11:30 p.m. and the guest must be present to win. The package includes the table for the night, dinner, taxes and gratuities, three premium cocktails or glasses of wine per person, non-alcoholic beverages and souvenir menus.

Guests will also receive access to the 50th floor patio to view firework displays across the Las Vegas valley along with a champagne toast at midnight and access to the Voodoo Rooftop Nightclub after midnight.
