Kyle Busch pulls ahead at saturday night’s Sharpie 500. It was supposed to be the race that put Kurt Busch, ultra fast in both practice and qualifying, back in contention for the Chase of the Nextel Cup.

Instead, it was brother Kyle’s night to further solidify his spot in NASCAR’s postseason party while Kurt was mathematically eliminated from the dance.

After a runner-up finish to race winner Matt Kenseth, Las Vegas Kyle Busch gained two spots in the championship standings, climbing to fourth. He said it was the culmination of a plan that finally came together.

Reality Racing, Inc. announces Reality Racing. Lee F. Schaefer announced today that Reality Racing, Inc. is in the process of finalizing dates and locations for a national contestant search to find amateur drivers to participate in their new TV show, Reality Racing - The Rookie Challenge. The search is tentatively scheduled to be in both Atlanta and Las Vegas during the early part of November. Exact times, dates and locations will be posted on the website as soon as they are available.

Reality Racing - The Rookie Challenge will combine two of the most popular on-air entertainment concepts — stock car racing and reality television — to create an unmatched, action-packed 13-week TV series scheduled to air in early 2007. The Rookie Challenge winner will receive national exposure, a cash award, a gold championship ring and the opportunity to drive professionally in a NASCAR-sanctioned race.

Sands Macao Casino by Las Vegas Sands Corp. announced that the first western-operated casino in Asia, has completed the expansion of its casino floor. The total Sands Macao casino area now measures over 229,000 square feet, and the 740 tables now on the casino floor position the Sands Macao as the largest casino in the world.

“The Sands Macao continues to outpace the competition by offering an entertainment experience not found anywhere else in Asia,” stated Bradley H. Stone, executive vice president of Las Vegas Sands Corp. “Reaching this extraordinary milestone clearly establishes us as a leader in the region.”

UFC 62 Ultimate Fighting Championship tonight between Chuck Liddell and Sobral at the Mandalay Bay Events Center Las Vegas. Defending UFC champion Chuck Liddell, 36, has 18 wins, 11 by knockout.

Chuck Liddell could be dabbling in other ventures. There is the accounting degree from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo collecting dust somewhere and a soft-spoken demeanor outside the octagon that betrays his proficiency inside of it. But an office job would have never sufficed for Chuck Liddell, who will defend his 205-pound title tonight against Renato Sobral at Ultimate Fighting Challenge UFC 62 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center Las Vegas. After all, it would have wasted his best asset: a devastating right hand that has sent a procession of the top names in mixed martial arts spiraling to the canvas while vaulting him to the top of the sport.
