The Stratorise Project Las Vegas Luxury Condos On Hold

The Stratorise Project Las Vegas Construction News.The Stratorise project, Las Vegas luxury high rise, proposal for a 45-story high-rise along Las Vegas Boulevard won’t be heard until Nov. 1, with Stratorise South LLC, Las Vegas real estate developer, asking to delay a hearing on the issue.

Victor Altomare Australian developer sold 0.68 acre parcel of his planned 21 story, 236 unit Liberty Tower Las Vegas condo project in early January 2006 to Statorise South LLC for $5.5 million. The Las Vegas real estate sold for 600 percent more than its original $900,000 price in 2004.

The Stratorise Las Vegas condos, at 1431 Las Vegas Boulevard South, across the street from the Stratosphere Las Vegas, had a scheduled hearing by the Las Vegas City Council today.

Las Vegas Billboard Dangles $100,000 Over The Las Vegas Strip

Las Vegas BillboardLas Vegas billboard dangles $100,000 in $1 bills above the Strip. The odds were that the money wouldn’t be stolen.

Juan Alvares caught cash falling from a Las Vegas billboard near the Stardust earlier Wednesday morning. Alvares said he gave the cash to police.

So much so that to make the wager, a gambler would have to bet $1,000 just to win $100.

The thieves who broke into the clear case containing the 220.3 pounds of cash took their long shot early Wednesday morning, raining dollar bills onto Las Vegas Boulevard.

Summerlin Seals Team Places First In State Swimming Competition

Summerlin SwimmerThe Summerlin Las Vegas Seals placed first in 46 of the 64 events in the 2006 Southern Nevada Recreational All-Stars swim competition, moving the team to first place, and its second consecutive win, in the annual challenge.

The swimming team in Summerlin Las Vegas also placed first in other competitions this year against the city of Las Vegas and the city of North Las Vegas, solidifying an undefeated record this season.

“Our small, young and relatively inexperienced team has grown significantly in four years,” coach Mike Armstrong said of the team’s last-place holding in the competition four years ago.
