McCarran Las Vegas Airport Had Seen 42 Million Visitors By November

McCarran AirportMcCarran Las Vegas Airport had 3.9 million travelers through the international airport in November, a 7.3 percent increase from the same month in 2005.

McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas busiest carrier was Southwest Airlines with 1.3 million travelers up 10 percent from 2005. America West Airlines was the next carrier, with 747,000 passengers, up 21 percent, then by United with 255,000 passengers.

American and United carried fewer passengers during November than in 2005. American was down 16 percent for the month, United was down 4.3 percent.

Allegiant Air based in Las Vegas moved 120,000 people through McCarran Airport in November, up 49 percent from 2005.

Las Vegas Casinos Mergers And Acquisitions A Strong Trend For 2007

Barbary Coast Las Vegas CasinoLas Vegas casinos mergers and acquisitions are a trend looking strong in the coming year.

Some of the big deals in Las Vegas include buyouts of Stations Casinos, Aztar Corp. and Harrah’s Entertainment.

Analysts favor Boyd Gaming Corp. as an object of a takeover attempt. Las Vegas-based Pinnacle Entertainment is also included in the attempts.

Harrah’s successful effort to obtain the Barbary Coast from Bill Boyd, had to trade Stardust Las Vegas land rather than make a cash transaction. That land probably won’t be sold until Echelon Place Las Vegas redevelopment of the Stardust casino opens in mid 2010.

Park Highlands Las Vegas Community By Developer Of Southern Highlands

Southern HighlandsPark Highlands Las Vegas announced newest master-planed community by Southern Highlands Las Vegas developer, Olympia Group, at a ground-breaking ceremony yesterday. Home builders committed to Park Highlands real estate include American West, Astoria, D.R. Horton and Standard Pacific.

In November 2005, Olympia Group acquired 2,675 acres of land around the northern Beltway at a Bureau of Land Management public auction, paying $639 million for the land. A 300-acre conservation area has been set aside by the BLM to protect the endangered Las Vegas buckwheat and bear poppy plants.

MGM Mirage Project CityCenter Las Vegas Condos Released To Public

MGM Mirage Project CityCenterMGM Mirage Project CityCenter Las Vegas yesterday released the 2,700 luxury high rise condos for sale to the public. These luxury condominiums are a portion of the $7 billion MGM Mirage CityCenter real estate on the Las Vegas Strip between the Monte Carlo and Bellagio casino. The three high rise condominiums in Las Vegas available for reservations are Veer Towers Las Vegas, Residences at Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas and Vdara Condo Hotel Las Vegas.

Project CityCenter construction is expected to last two years and located on the previous site of the Boardwalk Casino on the Strip. Construction work for the 66 acre of very expensive Las Vegas land in the 18 million-square foot real estate development began in June of 2006. MGM Project City Center real estate includes a two 400-room non-gaming hotels; 500,000 square foot of retail shops, 60-story, 4,000-room hotel-casino, entertainment and dining venues, luxury Las Vegas condos located within five high rise towers.
