The weekend kicked off with Billboard’s Battle of the Bands on Friday, May 18 inside The Joint, hosted by Grammy award winner Taio Cruz where Long Island, NY pop-punk quintet Patent Pending earned a golden ticket to perform at 2012 Billboard Music Awards.

British boy band The Wanted hosted Vice Sundays at LAVO nightclub at The Palazzo Las Vegas last night. Fresh off of a Billboard Music Award performance, the group dined on signature dishes at LAVO Restaurant where they were joined by manager Scooter Braun and singer Carley Rae Jepsen who also posed for on the red carpet with them.

Sky Blu of LMFAO debuted his monthly DJ residency “Who Came To Party!?” at WET REPUBLIC at MGM Grand earlier today. The GRAMMY® Award-nominee, singer, songwriter, producer and DJ energized the crowd with an electrifying party as he manned the decks and spun to the sold-out crowd before heading to perform at the Billboard Music Awards (also taking place at MGM Grand on Sunday).
