Hard Rock Las Vegas Hotel Unveils $750 Million Real Estate Expansion

Hard Rock Hotel Las VegasHard Rock Hotel Las Vegas unveils new real estate plans this week for expansions and renovations totaling $750 million that will double the Hard Rock real estate. Some of the expansion of the Las Vegas hotel will include new convention space, additional hotel rooms and a larger concert area.

Construction moves quick in Las Vegas and that is exactly what is happening at the Hard Rock. Restaurants and 640 rooms will start renovations immediately along with October expansion to finish mid 2009.

A joint venture partnership between private equity investor DLJ Merchant Bank and hotel operator Morgans Hotel Group finished the real estate transaction of the $770 million commercial real estate buy of the 16.7 acre Hard Rock Las Vegas and the neighbor Paradise Bay Club apartments on 23 acres of land.

The Las Vegas hotel expansion will showcase an additional tower with 550 rooms including a VIP tower that will hold 400 suites.

Station Casinos Las Vegas Gaming Company Buyout Bid For $5.4 Billion

Station Casinos ExecsStation Casinos Las Vegas gaming company is accepting a buyout bid from Fertitta Colony Partners for $5.4 billion or $90 per share. This buyout also includes the repayment of $3.5 billion of debt, making the total real estate deal worth $8.8 billion.

While a private equity group involving the founding family has increased its offer to take Station Casinos private, industry analysts say a follow-up bid that might drive the price higher is unlikely to come.

Station has 30 business days remaining to solicit additional proposals from competing buyout bidders.

The current bid is being placed by a private equity partnership involving Los Angeles-based Colony Capital and Station Casinos Chairman and CEO Frank Fertitta III, Lorenzo Fertitta, president, and their sister, Delise Sartini, and Blake her husband.

Hooters Energy DrinkHooters Las Vegas will stock store shelves this spring with energy shooters of Hooters waitresses on the can. Another unique marketing avenue for the company.

Scantily clad waitresses at Hooters restaurant serve burgers and chicken wings. Nationwide this spring they will launch a “Hooters Energy Drink” at convenience and grocery stores nationwide.

The energy drink market is a very competitive market. Hooters feels that when you think of them you’ll envision high energy. This energy drink is promised to be palatable.

The cans artwork will feature Hooters girls who some work at Hooters Las Vegas, Nevada.
