Vegas Grand, Las Vegas luxury condominiums, at Swenson Street and Flamingo Road, is going vertical, said Florida-based developer Del American for Vegas Grand.

General contractor, Summit Builders of Nevada, for the first phase of the $650 million project, has started construction with the placement of underground electrical and is starting foundations, rebar, footings.

Bella Venezia building 1, is expected completion in May 2007 of the 212-unit condo building.

Las Vegas Aladdin Hotel receives $140 million face lift with set completion for the end of 2006 for this 2,587 room Las Vegas resort.

The Westgate Resorts Las Vegas timeshare and Las Vegas condos tower is located east on Harmon Avenue. The Las Vegas Planet Hollywood Towers, like the Strip façade, will be under a change of appearance.

Some construction inside of the Planet Hollywood casino will be removal of a lounge to create more casino space. There will also be a new 1,500 seat auditorium and a retail area. The Desert Passage shopping mall will have new signage and better pedestrian corridors.

Construction has been more complex and taken a little longer than expected because the property has stayed open while the crews continue with the remodel.

City Crossing of Henderson real estate will change the city’s skyline from mostly short concrete office buildings.

Plise Cos. is planning for Henderson’s skyline office buildings as tall as nine stories as part of a 126-acre Henderson real estate development.

City Crossing is a 6 million-square-foot project that will include office, retail and residential space. As part of the total square footage, 1 million will be dedicated to office space; another 600,000 square feet will be used for retail, including fitness facilities, movie theaters and restaurants. The balance of the space in City Crossing will be in 2,500 residential units. Henderson recently approved the zoning change and project. Plise is still going through Henderson to determine the architecture and use mix and product type.
