Elysium Properties Seeks $3.8 Billion In Bonds For A Las Vegas Hotel

MoneyElysium Properties applied for a $3.8 billion casino and Las Vegas hotel. Elysium applied two months ago to the Nevada Dept. of Business and Industry for the issuance of revenue bonds to cover the development costs for their real estate project.

The taxpayers nor the state of Nevada would be financially responsible for any debt of the project by Elysium. The department is the intermediary and helps place the debt into investment portfolios through the advice of an investment banking firm.

Las Vegas Real Estate Market Update & Las Vegas Homes Sold for March

Las Vegas Homes SalesLas Vegas real estate market update and home sales figures show existing single family and new homes increased for March. The Greater Las Vegas Association of REALTORS or GLVAR reported sales of condominiums, homes and townhomes for sale in Las Vegas, Neada real estate for March, 2008, declined year to date.

Resale homes escrow closings equaled 1,146 units in March. The total first quarter sales was 2,296 down 44.1 percent year to date.

The Las Vegas mls had a medium price of a residential home at $278,630, or a decrease of 9 percent year to date.

Chinese Officials Stops Casino License Approval In The Macau Enclave

Venetian MacauChinese officials stopped casino license approval in The Enclave of Macau. For the first quarter of this year Macau has $3.8 billion in gaming revenue compared to $1.2 billion from gamblers in Las Vegas, Nevada real estate. Last year Macau took $10.3 billion from gamblers.

Interesting Macau would do such a move based on their current revenue compared to Las Vegas gaming revenue.
