Joint TheaterHard Rock Las Vegas hotel new joint 4,000 capacity theater opens April 17, 2009.  The hotel is finishing construction on the concrete and steel of the open performance $60 million concert arena.

Sceno Plus, a design firm based in Montreal, designed the Las Vegas performance venue.  They’ve also had their hand at the new Aliante Station hotel casino.

Station Casinos Asks BondHolders For Chapter 11 Bankruptcy Approval

Durango Station ResortStation Casinos Las Vegas casino operator skips $15.5 million debt payment this week on their commercial real estate.  According to the Securities and Exchange Commission this is the second time this month Station Casinos has missed a payment.

A lawsuit was filed last week against Station Casinos which stated the bankruptcy was “without merit” by an individual bondholder.

Franklin Park HomesNew north Las Vegas homes offer builder incentives to new homes buyers.  Special pricing and some included home furnishings will be included with the purchase of a home by Meritage Homes until the end of February.

New home designs have been introduced for 2009.  The 10 new plans include efficient use of space that are affordable to first time home buyers.  Four neighborhoods that will showcase the designs are Andover, Brookline, Salem and Concord at Northern Terrace.

$150 Million New Las Vegas City Hall Approved By Commission This Week

Las Vegas City Hall$150 million new Las Vegas City Hall approved by commission this week.  The Clark County Debt Management Commission passed a vote to allow up to $267 million in city hall financing by Las Vegas.

There has been strong opposition by Culinary Local 226 and they have tried to thwart the approval by showing problems with the revenue study that went along with the request.
