MGM Grand Macau opens $1.25 billion resort with Malaysian Michelle Yeoh actress, business tycoons and celebrities this Tuesday. This casino is a joint venture between MGM Mirage Las Vegas and Pansy Ho, daughter of Stanley Ho, Macau’s former casino kingpin. The partnership is looking for another location on the Cotai Strip for an additional mega resort similar to the Venetian.

The night was a sight to behold. Beautifully dressed waitresses in black suits poured champagne glasses full with Veuve Cliquot to socialites in furs and formal sequin dresses.

The European style plaza was stuffed with large groups of excited gamblers waiting for the grand opening.

Celine Dion says au revoir to “A New Day” concert from Caesars Palace Las Vegas, NV hotel. An emotional Celine ends her Las Vegas show into the wee hours of Sunday morning talking with fans, celebrities, family and reporters in the Colosseum.

Celine is part of a large family, youngest of 14 siblings, 10 of which were with her Sunday morning. Her son, Rene Charles, husband manager, Rene Angelil and her mother attended the eventful final performance at Caesars.

Cannery Casino and Las Vegas NV hotel sold for $1.8 billion to Crown Ltd. Crown is a gaming company controlled by James Packer, an Australian billionaire.

The Las Vegas commercial real estate transaction will take approximately a year and a half for the Pennsylvania and Nevada regulators to approve the total acquisition of the Cannery Casino Resort.

As land in Las Vegas, NV increases, gaming assets become more valuable. With the strength of outside international investors, including Dubai World and Crown, will provide them with easy entry to the domestic gaming market in Las Vegas real estate.
