UFC 66 LIDDELL Vs Ortiz 2 Pay Per View MGM Las Vegas Weigh In Results

Ortiz and LiddellUFC 66 LIDDELL Vs Ortiz 2 PPV will be the biggest fight to date in the mixed martial arts grand scheme of things.

Both fighters, Chuck and Tito, tipped the scales at 205 pounds Friday in a well-attended weigh-in at the MGM Grand Garden Arena Las Vegas. Fight fans were excited when the main event of Ultimate Fighting Championship 66 pay per view participants were announced.

Tito Ortiz fans chanted “Tito” to overshadow Chuck Liddell when he was being interviewed. Liddell fans responded by chanting.

The live gate at the MGM Grand Las Vegas is expected to exceed $4 million, and hopes to attract a MMA-record of 1.2 million pay-per-view sales, which at $39.9 per UFC 66 ppv translates into additional revenue of $48 million.

St. Pierre has never been shy in saying Matt Hughes as his mma mixed martial arts idol, even citing it as a reason for his 2004 loss to the longtime champion. Tonight St. Pierre beat his hero in their rematch, scoring a one-sided second round TKO to win the UFC 65 Welterweight Championship.

The outcome was most unexpected my most UFC 65 enthusiasts. Most MMA observers, who figured the Ultimate Fighting Championship Bad Intentions bout would be one of the most competitive of 2006. Finally, it was George St. Pierre who ran through Matt Hughes with extreme prejudice.
